After nearly two years of extensive research and discussion with both internal and community stakeholders, the Carmel Clay Public Library made the decision to purchase a mobile library. Its purpose is to extend the library's reach beyond the physical building, and to enhance the library's accessibility throughout the community. The Mobile Library began serving Clay Township in August 2015. It allows us to provide library services at community events, parks, child care centers, senior centers, and many other places throughout Clay Township.

The Mobile Library holds approximately 2,800 items which include current, high-interest books, DVDs, Blue-rays and audiobooks for checkout. There are materials for all of the Carmel Clay Public Library's patrons from age 0-99+. Patrons can return materials from the library on Main Street to the Mobile Library and items checked out on the Mobile Library can be returned to the library or the West side drop box at CVS.

The energetic staff of five strive to learn our regular visitors likes and dislikes. We are happy to help patrons find materials of interest to them or make recommendations of new authors. Patrons may also register for a new library card, renew a card and get information about library programs and services on the Mobile Library. We are always happy to help patrons download library materials to their devices from the library downloadable collection.

A weekly schedule of stops is available at ccpl2go.info. This schedule will change periodically to accommodate the school year, summer months, holidays, and seasonal events.
