Edible Books Contest Entry Forms Available

May 1, 2017
9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.

This fun contest lets you showcase your creativity and incorporate your love of reading by designing an edible display about a book. It can look like a book, be inspired by a book, be a pun of a book title, be a reproduction of a book cover, or even be a representation of a scene or character from a book.

The only rule is it has to be made out of food. Cakes have been the most popular entries in the past, but we're challenging you to think outside the pastry box. Anything edible goes! Awards are given for Most Artistic, Best Representation of the Book, and Most Creative Ingredient, and we're also celebrating our library-wide theme by offering an award for the best entry based on a science or technology book. This year we will not be serving the cakes, but don't worry, we'll still have some sweet treats to share!

Would you rather eat than cook? No problem! Come vote for your favorites!

Rules and entry forms can be found at the library and on the library's website beginning May 1. Entry forms must be submitted by May 28. Winning entries will receive gift certificates. For more information, call the Reference Desk at (317) 844-3362.
